The Children We’re Lucky to Help

Updated: Jul 28, 2023

As a charity that is dedicated to helping children and families in our local community, we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help those who are battling childhood cancer. This March we wanted to take time out to recognize and celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of these brave children – each with their own unique story. We are honored to be able to provide some relief and stability during difficult times for these families.

Helping Making Ends Meet One of our young ladies and her family were faced with a difficult battle, attending cancer treatments five times a week, with each visit requiring a $50 deductible just to start. With parking fees and the costs of ongoing care, their financial burden became too great to bear alone. Thanks to the loving donations from people like you, they have been able to focus on getting better without worrying about excessive expenses. We are so grateful for the kindness of our sponsors that has enabled them to get through this tough time.

For the Love of Family We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the donors who have made it possible for one young boy and his family’s life to be a little easier. Formerly a patient at St. Jude, your generous donations have provided them with much-needed financial assistance while they continue outpatient treatment. Hugs, snuggles, and lots of gratitude – thank you so much for your support!

Dancing For a Cure

Delaney is a remarkable young ballerina who faced her cancer battle with courage and an unwavering determination to dance again despite the amputation of her leg. She has kept up with her training, recovering from surgery and treatment, and remains an inspiring source of positivity for all around her. Her successes on and off the dance floor are only made possible by the contributions of donors like you – thank you for making this journey a little easier for Delaney!

Helping Families in Their Time of Need

When one of our families first arrived on Long Island from Ohio, they received the heartbreaking news that their son had cancer. With no family nearby, Jacie’s Kids provided much-needed assistance to help them get through this dark time. We thank Long Island and all of its generous donors for their support!
